The plain answers.
When you publish on Treels, your work gets a permanent record: who made it, and when. That record is written to a public blockchain, which in plain terms means it is stored across thousands of independent computers rather than on our servers alone. We cannot quietly edit it. Nobody can. If your authorship is ever questioned, the proof is not our word against someone else's, it is a timestamped record anyone can check.
Nobody. The split is written into a smart contract before your work earns anything, and the contract executes on its own. There is no team meeting where payouts get decided, no review, no discretion. Once the terms are set, we cannot change them after the fact, and neither can anyone else. That is the entire reason we built it this way.
Not on work that is already published. The terms attached to a piece of work are fixed at the moment it is published, and they stay fixed for the life of that work. If we change terms for the future, it applies to new work only, and you will see it before you publish.
Ownership and authorship records live on a public ledger, not in our database, so they survive independently of us. That is not a comforting thing to have to say, but it is true, and it is a real difference from a platform where your account is your only proof of anything.
No, and you never will. You sign in the way you sign in anywhere. There are no keys to look after, nothing to fund, and no vocabulary to learn. The technology is doing work underneath so that the product can be simple on top.
